Introducing the Mr Darcy Boys range to Lola Rose Shabby Couture
Bringing some of the Mr Darcy swagger to Lola Rose Farm, the Mr Darcy Range pulls inspiration from Pride & Prejudice and the regency era. Including dapper cravats and neck ties for our stylish little men, made sustainably from vintage and pre- loved materials sourced entirely from thrift stores.
Being a mum of four little boys, I couldn’t create a shabby couture range without including some extra special pieces for my little boys (even though the little ones love the wings and wands to cast magic spells in!!).
These sustainably made repurposed pieces are perfect for special events when you can get the whole family kitted out.
I love vintage boys and men's fashion and love bringing vintage elements into my boys wardrobe. The regency era in which Pride & Prejudice is set see’s mens fashions combine the equestrian clothing of English country gentlemen with the radical new designs from the French Revolution.

The cravat was a mainstay piece of the regency wardrobe. A cross between a scarf and a modern neck tie, the cravat was quite the showpiece. Highly starched, folded and then tied in one or numerous ways, with pure white being the epitome of wealth and high social standing of the time. I wanted to bring in the floral shabby element of whimsy to the boys range with the neckties and cravats being made from vintage floral fabrics.
The cravats and neckties look super charming paired with a button up shirt and slouch hat, or simply a plain tee and jeans.
